It&#8217;s&nbsp;a white sand causeway that connects the peninsula of Lockeport to mainland Nova Scotia.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/movies\/lockeport_promo.mp4\" width=\"698\" height=\"393\" frameborder=\"0\" align=\"center\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Lockeport6872.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3030\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Lockeport6872.jpg\" alt=\"Lockeport Beach\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Crescent Beach is beautiful.&nbsp;We strolled barefoot in the fine white sand, with a warm summer breeze on our faces, the waves of the incoming tide washing up over our toes. If you&#8217;re searching for amazing beaches in Nova Scotia, this is definitely one to visit. Lockeport is often referred to as the &#8216;Beachtown of the North Atlantic&#8217; due to its closeness to the shipping lanes in the Atlantic.&nbsp;Crescent Beach interpretative centre shows history of the town of Lockeport. The centre is also a fully equipped visitor information centre, including brochures, travel councilors, and public access computers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/LockeportBeach2989.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3040\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/LockeportBeach2989.jpg\" alt=\"LockeportBeach2989\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Lockeport6783.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3037\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visitingnovascotia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Lockeport6783.jpg\" alt=\"Lockeport6783\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon leaving Lockeport, we noticed this scene on the side of the road.
